You've pretty much given a discription of a Canada that everyone outside of it thinks it is, so no offence taken. You've forgotten a few stereotypes though, notably our use of the phrase, "eh" ;)

I guess I can see why you would think that, but Canada is quite a diverse country with many people of different ethnicities and if you ask me, the whites are pretty much the minorities here these days.

I live in Toronto so I'm exposed to a lot of different cultures. If you're ever in town you must check out Carabana, a festival of all things Caribbean. Many celebs come to it, including P. Diddy, Jay Z and Sean Paul (if you can call him a celeb). It is the second biggest parade/party in Toronto, next to Gay Pride. Both festivals are great.

My only complaint about my 'diverse city" is that each ethnicity has segregated themselves into subsections of Toronto -- but I guess that's only natural.

And yes, the winters are a bitch, but we do have all 4 seasons you know. Unless, you're one of those Americans who actually thinks we travel on dogsleds and live in our igloos. :p

*You think I'm exaggerating, but some Americans have actually asked me if I indeed live in an igloo
