We'll have to agree to disagree then on pulling out chairs. To be sure, I'm not going to run across the room just to 'save' a woman from seating herself, but if I'm next to a woman and we're about to sit down together, I'll pull her chair out for her (unless I know beforehand that she doesn't want me to do so). I don't understand how doing that for someone else makes them unequal. I'd do it for a woman whether she was my boss or my admin (done it in the past). I guess this is like debating whether you address the people you work with by their first name, their title and surname or a sir/ma'am. Doesn't seem like there's a real universal rule and if I had to choose a rule of thumb, I'd go for what's most polite with respect to company seniority.

For sure Audrey had a double-standard with the beauty comment but that doesn't change John's intentions with his comment...He could have discredited Audrey in a different way without having to reduce to her to some former high school prom queen who got lost on the way to the audition for America's Next Top Model.

What were his intentions - to 'reduce her to some former high school prom queen who got lost on the way to the audition for ANTM?' ;) Seems like she did that to herself between her confessionals and her meltdown (where she actually made her physical appearance an issue to her teammates). And according to people who watched her appearance on the TODAY show, it's still an issue for Miss Audrey. There was quite a bit of talk about Jennifer from season 2 making a bigger deal out of her educational credentials than her actual performance, which became a major point of criticism against her by the end of the season. How is that any different from what Audrey is doing now with regards to her 'beauty" (which is an opinion at best).

It's an incredibly ass thing to say to a woman that she will succeed because she's beautiful and a sweetheart.

Is it an ass thing to say this about any woman or just about a woman who publicly made a connection between her beauty and her previous accomplishments? I don't buy that John is sexist just because he made those comments about Audrey. Other than being a little less caustic, would it have been better had he said, 'Trump, I think Audrey gets by and will get by on her charm and appearance, rather than her actual ability to do the job?' Substitute a few synonyms here and there and you basically have what people, male and female, were saying about Jennifer. What's so bad this time around?
