Well, that covers all of the tracks on the debut album. However, I wanted to post a song that was recorded at around the same time--1986. It's actually a very rare song, that even Whitney fanatics may not be aware of.

This song is called King Holiday, made to honor the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King. It's listed as being performed by the King Dream Chorus and Holiday Crew. Not sure who the other singers are(Do I hear Run-DMC?), but Whitney comes in at around 2:20 and supplies ad-libbing near the end. I love it! It heavily features Hip-Hop artists, which is interesting. So even before her ground-breaking collaboration with feminist rapper Monie Love on MNINS in 1990, Whitney Houston was working with rappers as far back as 1986.

And :love

Whitney masterpiece I'm feeling at the moment: God Bless America, live in NYC in 1999. In this patriotic sequel to her legendary SSB performance, Whitney does what she does best: Combines earth-shattering power, clarity, and range, with a torn-from-the-gut gospelicious flair.
