Go get the dang album, Erik! To celebrate, I wanted to share some files. I'd like to do all of the songs separately if I can find something, starting with:

You Give Good Love. A timelessly beautiful song. Here's a video of Whitney singing the song at the Soul Train Awards in 1986, with an introduction by none other than Dionne Warwick. I wanted to post her performance of it on the Tonight Show, but it appears deleted. :( But still:

And one of my favorites, a live audio performance of YGGL at a concert in Jones Beach, NY in 1986. This is a more laidback performance than the prior, with excellent arrangement. I love the ending.

Whitney masterpiece I'm feeling at the moment: God Bless America, live in NYC in 1999. In this patriotic sequel to her legendary SSB performance, Whitney does what she does best: Combines earth-shattering power, clarity, and range, with a torn-from-the-gut gospelicious flair.
