Here's another live video file of Saving All My Love For You for those interested. It's from the Late Show with David Letterman, circa 1985--Damn, he's been on TV forever. She looks really beautiful here, I dig the hair! I love how she makes the song(and the band) go where she wants it to go. Enjoy the bridge especially.

The next one is an incomplete video file of her performance of Saving All My Love For You from the 1986 Grammy's(she of course went on to win a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal for the song), introduced by Kenny Rogers. She looks....eighties. :p Big bangs, big poofy red dress. I wonder if this is the performance that inspired Kelly Rowland? She always talks about it as watching Whitney in a red dress on tv. Actually Whitney reminds me of Beyonce for some reason here--She's like a black Barbie Doll here. I think Beyonce takes many of her cues from Whitney in that regard. Anyway:

Whitney masterpiece I'm feeling at the moment: God Bless America, live in NYC in 1999. In this patriotic sequel to her legendary SSB performance, Whitney does what she does best: Combines earth-shattering power, clarity, and range, with a torn-from-the-gut gospelicious flair.
