Seeing veda reminded me of my fundamentalist upbringing. :p I do love some DC Talk, Crystal Lewis and Winans family. DC Talk is kind of interesting, because they went from being a Christian rap group to more of an alternative band, but they are an immensely talented trio. They meet some of my earlier criteria--intensely anti-racist, intelligent, and just a little bit revolutionary in that they've always walked the edge--at least in relation to what was acceptable in Christian music. I'll never forget the famous interview where Toby(the lead guy) offered a reporter from a Christian magazine a Bud Light. :lol

Whitney masterpiece I'm feeling at the moment: God Bless America, live in NYC in 1999. In this patriotic sequel to her legendary SSB performance, Whitney does what she does best: Combines earth-shattering power, clarity, and range, with a torn-from-the-gut gospelicious flair.
